Amanda Amarachi Onuegwunwoke is a Nigerian creative and result-oriented search engine optimization (SEO), content writer, with over three years of experience in the tech industry. She has a proven record of creating high-quality, engaging content that leads to conversion.
She is a highly motivated and detail-orientated individual with a record of increasing several websites’ traffic through SEO content writing by developing and executing content marketing campaigns that led to lead generation for her clients.
Tech Diary: Tell me about yourself
Amanda: My name is Amanda Amarachi Onuegwunwoke. I’m a graduate of Architecture from Imo State University
Tech Diary: Amanda, you studied Architecture, how did you get into tech?
Amanda: I got into tech through writing. I learned Search Engine Optimization during the COVID and learned to analyze and create content for websites.
Tech Diary: What are your areas of expertise?
Amanda: My areas of expertise are SEO writing and website analysis.
Tech Diary: How do you remain up to date with the most current developments in your niche?
Amanda: I stay updated in my niche by reading articles and taking courses. SEO is ever-changing and if you’re not up to date, you’ll go extinct.
Tech Diary: Between remote and hybrid jobs which do you think is best for tech jobs?
Amanda: As a constantly remote worker, I’d say working hybrid is best. It gives you a feel and a mix of the 9-5 and remote experience put together. For me, working hybrid helps you to have structure, remain focused and easily work with your team on any given task.
Regardless of my opinion, it’s important to choose what’s best for you.
Tech Diary: How did you get your first client online?
Amanda: I got my first client online through a referral on WhatsApp.
Tech Diary: What advice would you give to young people who are not into tech?
Amanda: The best advice I’d give to any young person who is not in tech is; to learn a little bit of it because having at least a base knowledge in tech related to your field or area of expertise gives you an advantage.
Tech Diary: What do you consider the main challenges of tech in Africa?
Amanda: Generally speaking, the main challenge I see in tech now, is the lack of the Government’s interest in tech for the youths. Technology should be embedded in our education system by now. The future is tech, no matter how small.
Tech Diary: What do you think is the future of tech in Africa
Amanda: I don’t know the future lols, let alone tech. But the little improvements I see from youths I come across in tech give me hope for the future.
