To enhance proper knowledge, skills and improve service delivery, the Nigerian government has made known its plans to launch an e-learning platform for civil servants in the country.
The country’s Head of Civil Service (HOCSF), Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan made the disclosure in a public lecture last week in Abuja, the capital city while marking the 2024 Civil Service Week.
She said the initiative would increase the percentage of civil servants who will be able to be inducted through the nations Structured Mandatory Assessment-Based Programme (SMAT-P).
The Civil Service Boss added that the platform will afford them the opportunity to train in specialized areas in a complex work environment “The objective of the e-learning platform for civil servants is to train many more civil servants simultaneously”
“This involves equipping the next generation with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in an increasingly complex work environment.”
The electronic learning platform will have programs on Information and Computer Technology (ICT), with modules to aid self-training, that will enhancing Civil Servants knowledge of the new Performance Management System (PMS).
